Our Star of the Week for this week is:
Here is what we are doing in the subject areas for the week of May 21.
DOL: Every day students will be given a D.O.L assignment. These are done and graded in class.
Spelling: Egypt List. Homework is due on Friday, May 25. The test is also on Friday.
Reading: Our unit in reading this week is Magic. Students need to find a magic trick by Tuesday, May 22. We will be performing these with our Book Buddies on Wednesday, May 23.
English: Our next unit in English Pronouns. We will also do expository writing. The English test is Wednesday, May 23. A study guide and text books were sent home today.
SocialStudies: Our unit in Social Studies is Egypt! The test for Egypt will be on Tuesday, May 29. A study guide was sent home today. Books will be sent home next week.
Also your child received an announcement about our Cultural Day Presentations. These will be held the week of May 29-June 1. We will talk more about these presentations on Monday.
Science: Chapter 14 Heat, Light and Sound. VOCABULARY LOGS ARE DUE ON MONDAY MAY, 21. The Chapter 14 Science test is Friday, May 25.
Miss Conley's Math class: We are studying Chapter 24: Divide by ONE Digit numbers. Ask your child if the can tell you what DMSCB(R) MEANS!! :)

Parents: Please make sure you read your emails and this blog :)
Also, when the warm weather returns, please review the "dress code" section of the student handbook. Students were reminded of the school dress code this week, during PE classes.
Please put your child's name on items that come to school, including clothing.
When sending money to school, please put it in an envelop with your child's name on it.

Sending money to school: Please send any money to school in an envelope (or a ziplock) with the students, name, grade, class, and amount written down. This includes lunch account and field trip money.
